Three pieces of polaroid film are mounted on disks that allow them to freely rotate. Initially polarized passes through them in sequence. Use this to demonstrate light polarization effects. The most dramatic is to show that no light passes through two crossed polarizers, but if a third polarizer is placed in between at 45 degrees you get transmission.
