Penn Physicists Douglas Durian, Andrea Liu and Arjun Yodh were part of an LRSM-MRSEC team that published a recent Science paper exploring connections between particle rearrangements and microscopic structure in glasses. The work offers new ideas that can teach us about how to make tougher coatings and more durable glass screens for phones.
