Henrik holds a PhD in Biophysics awarded from Max Planck Institute for Dynamics a Self Organization (2016).
I am primarily interested in the physics of flow networks in plants and animals. My models capture development, growth, and optimization of vein networks, investigating how nature is able to produce complicated topology and geometry from simple physical rules. On the side I am interested in applications of network mathematics to electrical power grids, and the evolution of human language.
