Day 3: July 9th
This morning, the students spent a few minutes downloading software that they will need in the next two weeks of the program. This was followed by a lesson on conserved quantities such as energy and momentum. Afterwards, students went into the labs to get a hands on look at energy conservation using a small basket ball. Later in the morning, students learned about wave interference using light and sound. In the afternoon, students analyzed wave interference by studying diffraction using gratings machined here at Penn.
