Day 5: July 11th
This morning, the students began with a look at a digital oscilloscope, a "graphing voltmeter" that they will be using the in coming weeks. After this introduction, students went to the labs to practice using the scopes, and determined the speed of electricity through metal and the speed of sound. Then, after an early lunch, students went to the Simeone Car Museum to investigate inertia using bowling balls and brooms. When all the investigations were completed, students were given a detailed tour of the collection housed at the museum by Bill Berner. As an added bonus, an employee of the museum obtained free water ice for the group!
