Day 12: July 19th
Students began the morning by presenting their analysis of the rides at Hershey Park. Later in the morning, students heard from Dr. Larry Gladney about gravitational waves and the LIGO project that detects these waves. After lunch, students returned to their interest groups. Throughout this week, students will split up and go to various locations to learn about cloud chambers, quantum mechanics, alternative energy, high energy physics, non-Newtonian fluids, radio telescopes and high speed phenomena.
