Samuel M. Khamis

Sam I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. I have worked in the laboratory of Prof. A.T. Charlie Johnson for the past four years. My main research focus has been the study of Carbon Nanotubes, and their interactions with single stranded DNA. We have developed a platform involving this system for use in chemical sensing, and electronic nose applications. I have also been involved in work on crystallographic etching, and electronic transport measurements on few layer graphene.
