QuarkNet Radiation Sources summer 2001
The QuarkNet Program allowed for the purchase of NRC exempt sources for use in the building of the project's proportional gas charged particle detector.
Sixteen Cs-137 5 uCi sources were purchased by U. of Penn. for the QuarkNet 2001 Project in July, 2001.

The sources are one inch diameter sealed plastic disks. This package conforms to the conditions and limitations specified in 49 CFR 173.421 for radioactive material, excepted package - limited quantity of material. UN2910.
The contents are exempt from NRC anAgreement State licensing.
