Workshop on Imaging Biomarkers

- | Biomedical Research Building (BRB) II/III Auditorium and Lobby; 421 Curie Boulevard

Welcome to the Fifth Annual CMROI Workshop on Imaging Biomarkers to be held Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 at the Biomedical Research Building II/III of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. The aim of this meeting is to bring together a multidisciplinary group of biologists, clinicians, physicists, bioengineers and imaging scientists to share knowledge on latest developments on noninvasive magnetic resonance and optical imaging-based biomarkers for studying tissue metabolism and function. These techniques focus on clinical translation through early diagnoses as well as on the development and evaluation of new therapies in a multitude of diseases.

This year's emphasis will be on biomarkers for the early detection of metabolic and cerebrovascular diseases using MRI and Optical imaging techniques. To this end, we have brought together a group of world-renowned specialists from Penn and outside. Topics covered will range from the role of imaging biomarkers, their current research applications and state of clinical translation. The focused meeting will allow the audience an opportunity to interact during the panel discussions. There will also be a poster session to highlight research by young investigators.

So come and spend a day together learning, teaching, and debating!
