B.Ovrut,
T.Pantev
Abstract: This year's String Phenomenology Conference will take place at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, from Wednesday, May 28 to Sunday, June 1, 2008. Phenomenological aspects of String Theory have moved to the forefront of research efforts in the theoretical high energy physics community. This conference aims at bringing together top researchers in the field to present and discuss recent breakthroughs bridging fundamental theory and its implications for particle physics and cosmology. A special emphasis will be placed on innovative mathematical techniques, and an effort will be made to include a number of leading mathematicians and mathematical physicists. We are particularly keen to encourage young researchers, and will attempt to feature their work prominently in this conference.

NEW IDEAS IN PARTICLE PHYSICS AND COSMOLOGY
Date: May 19 - 22, 1999
Co-Organizers:

B.A. Ovrut (Penn)
S. Pokorski (Warsaw)

Abstract: The conference "New Ideas in Particle Physics and Cosmology" will focus on interdisciplinary results in superstring theory, cosmology and geometry. The program will emphasis the role of modern mathematics, such as algebraic geometry, non-commutative geometry and algebraic topology in both the formal and phenomenological aspects of strings and M-theory. These will include, for example, duality symmetries, intersecting D-branes and brane universe theories. In addition, recent results in cosmology using new ideas from superstrings and M-theory will be presented.
