Rapid movement and entropy of DNA molecules through nanopores

Single-stranded DNA recorded at 10 MHz bandwidth through nanopores in glass chips. This unique work of art, illustrating the rapid movement and entropy of DNA molecules through nanopores, was created by Milivoj Šegan, an internationally acclaimed sculptor. Illuminating the sculpture from the inside and using the so-called “Lumino Mobile” effect, his digital camera captured the diffracted light, creating an illusion.
