I am a Research Specialist in Experimental High Energy Physics at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Pennsylvania. I am part of the Penn HEP Engineering Group as well as Penn's CDF Group.

I do Research and Development of Particle Detectors and Instrumentation used in Experimental High Energy Physics. Examples of different types of particle detectors used in experiments in High Energy Physics. In the past I worked on particle-ID and tracking detectors for studying the physics of b-quarks with the CDF experiment at Fermilab.

I also worked on the ILC coaxial blade tuner with Prof. Nigel Lockyer before Nigel left to become the director of TRIUMF Laboratory in Vancouver, Canada in 2007 and now since June 28, 2013 is the Director of Fermilab. The ILC coaxial blade tuner project has been transferred to Fermilab.

I am also the Licensee for the Radioactive Sources used in High Energy Physics Research and in the Teaching Laboratories.

COT/ASDQ boards

Another type of detector I am working on is the COT (Central Outer Tracker) `front end electronics', the COT ASDQ daughter board. We have built, tested and commissioned 1450 ASDQ daughter boards as of April 2000.
